Why buy Polybush Bushes?

Lots of people ask us why our bushes are different to other bushes on the market and more importantly why they can buy cheaper bushes, the answer is simple you get what you pay for!  For a greater understanding of why our bushes are different read out materials comparison information sheet Click Here

VAG Front Wishbone, Rear Bush 44J

Why is it better?

44J___WebPolybush 44J, Front Wishbone, Rear Bush (Console Bush/Compliance Bush) plays an important part in the McPherson strut set up.   As the wishbone is a pressed steel design Polybush decided to include a steel ring to be pressed into the wishbone prior to the Polybush. Polybush provides 2 distinct advantages, Firstly, extra contact surface area for the bore of the bush, spreading any forces over a larger area resulting in a longer lasting bush that cannot be pushed out from the housing.  Secondly, the Polybush steel ring decreases the diameter of the eye, leaving less material to deflect under load.  This ensures that the suspension is working to optimum geometry during hard driving. The original bush is relatively soft making it deflect under heavy cornering, toeing out the front wheels resulting in corner entry under steer. The Polybush being harder and smaller it deflects very little under loading therefore understeer is dramatically improved.

Mitsubishi EVO 10

Kit_152___WebPolybushes kit for the Evo 10 was designed to give optimum performance on and off tarmac.  We voided the front wishbone, front bush, 17AJ and the rear trailing arm inner bush, 17AL to allow full wheel articulation (for rallying) and used our Black Performance material that’s hard enough to resist any adverse changes in suspension geometry. With standard Evo 10 rear arms not allowing enough camber adjustment, Polybush designed a unique bush for the rear camber arm inner, 17AN.  The bush offsets the arm allowing more or less camber to be dialled when required or keeping the standard camber for normal use. Polybush for the Evo 10 meets group N rally specifications.  Polybush is the perfect choice for rally, road or track use.
